Roy is a terror wight from my miniature figurine collection. One day I was searching the Internet for an appropriate illustration for the cover of Littlelot and the Real Monster. Roy happened to be on my desk, hanging out after an evening D&D game. He and a few other figurine monsters were eating cookies, which is what figurines do after a long game.

“You could do what, Roy?”

“I could pose for you. You take a picture. Look,” and he held up his elbows like a coat hanger and grimaced, teeth full of crumbs.

“Not bad, Roy,” I said. “But we’ll have to work on that grimace.”

Below, you’ll find links to all the articles featuring Roy in chronological order. You can leave a message for him in the comments section.

Meet Roy, Terror Wight

Roy is great to work with. To get him to make that face, all I have to do is look him straight in the eye and say, “Roy… No cookies!

Roy is not happy

Roy says he’s going to autograph covers of Littlelot and the Real Monster and give them to his friends in the figurine drawer.

I told him, “It’s an electronic book, Roy. It doesn’t work that way.”

But he wasn’t listening. He said, “Why can’t we put out my book first?”

Terror Wight Give Away

“Give me a really big stack of books,” he said, “so I can give them away.”

I said, “I’ll give you an unlimited stack of books, Roy. Give away as many as you like.”

“Not big enough! I need a really big stack of books.”

Roy’s Own Page

Terror wights don’t read. But Roy gets more fan mail than I do, so I read it to him. He really appreciates your kind words, and he adores the photographs and hand-drawn pictures.
