New Adventure: DONJON LANDS is Moving

This article was originally posted to DONJON LANDS before the blog went dark, March 2, 2026. Following the event, the blog’s writer is still convalescing.

Dear Readers,

Last year, I set out on a new adventure. I’m writing a book. It’s too early to tell the world what it’s about, but I can tell you all: it’s nonfiction and has a lot to do with a mad king, the castles he built, and the history that surrounds the king and his kingdom.

That explains my recent absence from DONJON LANDS.

I do intend to write more about D&D though. I ain’t done with my all-time-favorite-game and utter-passion yet!

Just now, though, something urgent came up. I’m changing my web host provider.

The practical upshot of that is that the DONJON LANDS blog will go dark soon—that is, very soon. Like, by-the-time-you-read-this-message soon.

My larger plan is to merge the two blogs DONJON LANDS and the Peregrine Pages into one. My current Peregrine Pages, hosted by the same provider, is already lights-out.

I am launching the new blog on Medium.com. I don’t write behind the paywall, so you can read my work there.

You don’t need an account to read my stuff on Medium.com. Only if you want to, you can create a free account at Medium.com to “follow” me and get an email when I post—just like how you signed up for new posts on DONJON LANDS. No regression.

The new blog retains the name of my first blog. You can find the Peregrine Pages on Medium.com as well as at https://blog.stephenwendell.com/.

I copy below a short description of the new blog, including topics. Bullet 3 in bold for DONJON LANDS readers.

It has been great fun writing DONJON LANDS these last years. Though the blog is moving, I still got more D&D in me.

My sincere thanks to you for reading. I hope to see you all soon on the Peregrine Pages.

Stephen

PS. Also new website design at https://stephenwendell.com/.
